What We Do
The mission of PRIDA is to develop and support the Prevention, Diagnosis and Management of Infectious Diseases across Pacific Nations. Our multi-faceted approach includes:
- Building long-term relationships with infectious disease professionals in the Pacific and Southeast Asia
- Providing on-the-ground training and support through mentoring, ward and laboratory rounds, workshops, seminars, practical sessions and journal clubs for Infectious Diseases, Microbiology and Infection Prevention & Control.
- Offering virtual training programs, including UNITAS-CIFAL-endorsed Postgraduate Diplomas in Diagnostic and Clinical Microbiology, Laboratory Rounds and Pharmacist Antimicrobial Stewardship tutorial program.
- Providing real-time advice to clinical staff regarding diagnosis, management and prevention of infectious diseases
- Developing consensus guidelines and policies
- Facilitating overseas placements for LMIC stakeholders
- Promoting correct diagnosis and appropriate management to ensure efficient use of scarce resources
- Supplying equipment and laboratory materials
